About our Church
At our church we love God, make no mistake about that. We believe in God’s radical, unconditional and unwavering love for us and we believe that Jesus is God. You may or may not believe that Jesus is God and we’re not asking you to change your belief system before you visit our church. We’re simply inviting you on a journey toward Jesus, because at our church we place the highest priority on Jesus as a live-life-to-the-fullest invitation! And so we invite you to a safe place to hear a life changing message.

The Rock Church was planted with a vision to reach out and impact the community, as we wanted to see a vibrant congregation representing all age groups enjoy the friendly atmosphere and presence of God through contemporary music and relevant preaching. We have just loved seeing people connect to God, people and purpose through our Sunday meetings, Growth Steps and Connect Groups.
Jared and Camille Cerfonteyn
Lead Pastors - Wellington
Jared and Camille Cerfonteyn are the lead pastors of The Rock Church – Wellington. Under the leadership of Mark and Jan Cerfonteyn, this is The Rock Church’s first campus church. “We love Wellington! We have a heart to see the people of Wellington flourish and be all they were created to be in Jesus. The best is definitely yet to come for this amazing town and we’d love you to be a part of this. We are being the change – making history, and we are doing it together.”
PROGRAMS:
Kids Programs
We believe in the next generation.
We believe in helping every child achieve and live out their destiny in God. It is our mission to lead children towards an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Through building relationships with the children we desire to see each child develop a passion for God and a compassion for each other. We have an action packed programme with Bible lessons, praise and worship as well as small group sessions, where relevant life application is taught. We want KIDZ Church at The Rock to be a place where kids can discover God’s love and Bible truth. We believe in reaching children for God from a young age and making the environment in which this is done as fun as possible.
Kids Church
Our Kids services run at 9AM & 10:30AM at our Paarl Campus and Wellington Campus.
Kids Express
Every Sunday we have an amazing kids program online.
You can find Kids Express on our Facebook and Youtube page, Sunday, at 9am.
Youth Programs
Reaching teenagers and seeing them grow in God is something that we are passionate about! We want them to believe that He has an amazing plan and purpose for their lives and future. We do this through relevant inspiring messages, great praise and worship with a live band, and lots of connect time.
Rock Youth Paarl
Rock Paarl Youth and Junior Youth meet at Louws Ave, every Friday.
Junior Youth & Rock Youth Paarl (Gr 4-12) meet Fridays during the term at 6:00pm till 8:00pm.
Rock Youth Wellington
Rock Wellington Youth meet at Upper Versailles Street, Wellington every Friday.
Rock Youth Wellington (Gr 7-12) meet Fridays during the term at 6:00pm till 8:00pm.
Prayer Group
We believe in the power of prayer, and we believe we serve a powerful God who is more than able. If you would like to be part of our Prayer Team, praising God for all his goodness and praying into the lives of those around us and the future of our church. Join us by clicking the button below.
Community Work
- Established in 2000 due to a growing awareness of the huge needs that exist within communities in the Paarl valley, We are committed to helping Rock Care make a difference within these communities by inspiring hope in individuals through focused and effective social action.
- We believe that every individual has the potential to achieve greatness and positively contribute towards the establishment and development of our nation, given the right encouragement.
- All initiatives are ultimately aimed at empowering and equipping individuals and families to build and establish a better quality of life for themselves and future generations.
